For the second consecutive year Praxis EMR scored first place in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) EHR User Satisfaction Survey, published in the Journal of Family Practice Management (FPM). With over 94,000 members, the AAFP is the largest medical academy in the nation. The 2009 survey was expanded this year to include the 22 top EHR vendors. A total of 2,556 doctors participated in the study that included 142 different EHRs. When elimination of bias and other factors were taken into account, the top 22 vendors were considered and voted on by 1,755 physicians. This makes this study the most note-worthy and reliable in the country, and highlights the fact that other medical specialty organizations lack the sufficient members to perform such unbiased studies.
In the 2009 AAFP EHR User Satisfaction Survey, Praxis EMR was rated Number One in the following categories:
- Number One in Practicing Higher Quality Medicine
- Number One in Disease Management
- Number One in Health Maintenance
- Number One for Excellence in Training and Support
In addition, Praxis EMR scored first place among physicians indicating that their EMR had a positive effect on determining their salary.
