For the second consecutive year, Praxis EMR ranked first in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) EHR User Satisfaction Survey, published in the Journal of Family Practice Management (FPM). With more than 94,000 members, the AAFP is the largest medical academy in the nation. The 2009 survey was expanded this year to include the top 22 EHR vendors. A total of 2,556 doctors participated in the study, covering 142 different EHRs. When bias and other factors were taken into account, the top 22 vendors were determined and ranked by 1,755 physicians. This makes this study the most noteworthy and reliable in the country, and highlights the fact that other medical specialty organizations lack the sufficient membership to perform such unbiased studies.
In the 2009 AAFP EHR User Satisfaction Survey, Praxis EMR was rated Number One in the following categories:
- Number One in Practicing Higher Quality Medicine
- Number One in Disease Management
- Number One in Health Maintenance
- Number One for Excellence in Training and Support
In addition, Praxis EMR ranked first among physicians who indicated that the EMR they use has had a positive impact on their salaries.
