During Praxis on-site training, the following functions and attributes of Praxis EMR will be reviewed with the medical practice office staff.
The Praxis EMR trainer will shadow the doctor(s) during his/her patient visits as a means of augmenting and improving the doctor(s) individual Praxis EMR medical knowledge database. The Praxis EMR trainer will also create additional imaginary patients for the doctor. During the On-Site Training, the Praxis EMR trainer will:
- Shadow doctors as they build chart notes during the day
- Shadow staff using scheduler, agents, and building pre-soap notes
- Trouble-shoot/problem-solve to streamline Praxis to match office
- Clinic will reduce scheduled appointments to leave room for Praxis building
- Three 2-hour sessions working with any assistants using Praxis
- One 3 to 4 hour session needed with nurse/office manager to build/work on agents
RULE OF THUMB
The number of On-Site Training days increases exponentially with the size of the office. For example, Praxis recommends 2 days for one doctor; 3 days for two to three doctors; 4 days for four to six doctors; etc. Please note that for the vast majority of Praxis EMR customers, the included Praxis training program is sufficient. We encourage you to begin with the training package included with your provider licensing. You may always elect to bring in additional onsite training if you feel it is necessary.
